Prax collects information you provide directly when you create an account and use our service, including:

  • Email address and account credentials
  • Home details (address, size, age, features)
  • Appliance and device information (brand, model, purchase date)
  • Maintenance task history and completion records
  • Expense and service history records
  • Home inspection documents you upload

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide personalized maintenance reminders and schedules
  • Generate task recommendations based on your home and appliances
  • Parse inspection reports to identify maintenance needs
  • Send email notifications and reminders you configure
  • Sync tasks with Google Calendar when you enable the integration
  • Improve our service and develop new features

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, built on PostgreSQL with enterprise-grade security. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth with secure password hashing and session management.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — Database hosting, authentication, and file storage
  • Google OAuth — Optional calendar integration (only with your explicit consent)
  • Resend — Email delivery for reminders and notifications
  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — Inspection report parsing (documents are processed but not stored by the AI provider)

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with the service providers listed above as necessary to operate Prax. If you invite household members, they will have access to your shared home data.

6. Your Rights

  • Access: You can view all your data within the Prax app at any time.
  • Correction: You can update your information through your account settings.
  • Deletion: You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
  • Export: You can request an export of your data.
  • Disconnect: You can disconnect third-party integrations (like Google Calendar) at any time through settings.

7. Cookies

Prax uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No third-party analytics cookies are used.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Prax app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
